Gemstones elixirs

Gem and crystal elixirs

Gem elixirs are prepared in a manner very similar to flower essences. Several items are required.

First, a clear bowl, preferably made of glass or quartz is needed. Quartz is best, but it is more expensive.

The bowl should hold around twelve ounces of water, but the amount can vary according to individual preferences.
Sometimes a larger bowl is needed if a larger mineral is used. The bowl should be plain with no designs on it otherwise, a pattern could vibrationally influence a gem elixir.

Storage bottles, funnels, and labels to put on the bottles are also needed. Bottles and funnels should also be made of glass. A funnel is not essential because the prepared liquid can be poured directly into the storage bottle. It is best that the bottles and funnels also be made of glass. These items should be new and cleaned when initially used.

Sterilize these articles by placing them in hot water, preferably in an enamel or glass pot, for around ten minutes. If using a metal pot, it should be made of copper or stainless steel. Never use aluminum pots because they are highly toxic.  If using a pendulum, it is easy to tell exactly when these articles have been cleansed.

Should distilled water or local spring water be used to prepare gem elixirs?

It is best to only use distilled water. Sometimes various minerals in spring water weaken the effectiveness of gem elixirs.

The mineral specimen used to prepare a gem elixir should be completely natural. There should be no chemicals or glue on it, and it needs to be uncut and unpolished. If possible, the mineral should be a crystalline structure. Size is not important, although a small piece may be best for practical purposes. It is the purity of the stone that counts. The mineral’s qualities are slightly amplified if it is on a matrix because this exerts a greater stabilizing influence and attunement to the earth. (A matrix is a stone or rock that a mineral is attached to.)

It is best that a mineral used to prepare a gem elixir not have any inclusions of other minerals in it. If this occurs, placing the gem in a tumbler for thirty minutes to two hours might remove the inclusions on the mineral’s surface or at least some of the etheric pattern of the other mineral. In most cases, a mineral specimen should come from a specific country for enhanced properties. For instance, a natural specimen of moonstone works better clinically when it is obtained from India. Furthermore, the gem should sometimes have a specific shape and color. For example, pearl gem elixir is enhanced if the pearl is perfectly round.

Should certain very powerful gemstones be placed under the sun or moon before they are prepared as gem elixirs?

Yes, the gemstones in this category include diamond, emerald, fire agate, loadstone, magnetite, malachite, moonstone, opal, pearl, peridot, quartz, ruby, sapphire, and tourmaline. All varieties of these gemstones, such as quartz and tourmaline, are included in this special category.

These minerals can be placed under the sun for a full two weeks, although two hours is sufficient. All these gemstones can be placed under the sun or moon, but moonstone, pearl, and quartz are slightly more activated when placed under the moon. No further amplification is achieved if these gemstones are placed under the sun and moon before the gem elixir is prepared, but it is wise to have these minerals under the rising sun and under the moon when at its zenith.
